Moltbot is now OpenClaw
OpenClaw is a free, open-source AI assistant that runs on your own computer and works through the chat apps you already use, such as WhatsApp, Telegram, Slack, Microsoft Teams and Discord. You message it, and it can carry out tasks for you.
If you’ve heard of Moltbot or Clawdbot, it’s the same project. It was renamed from Clawdbot to Moltbot on January 27, 2026, and to OpenClaw three days later. Older installs and guides still use the earlier names.

Why businesses run it themselves
According to the OpenClaw project, your assistant’s state, memory and credentials live on your own hardware, and the AI model is a plugin you can swap. That’s useful, but it also means the setup and security are your responsibility.
Memory and credentials are stored on the machine or server you control.
Talk to it through the messaging tools your team already uses.
Models are plugins, so you can switch providers without rebuilding.
MIT-licensed, with no paid tier or hosted service from the project.

Where we install it
We set it up where it makes sense for you, from a single computer to a dedicated server for your team.
A personal assistant on a Windows, macOS or Linux machine.
An always-on assistant for you or your team.
Ongoing care so it stays safe and working.
Do it safely
An assistant that can read messages, send email and use your accounts is powerful, and that’s exactly why it needs to be set up carefully. As an IT and security company, we treat it like any other system with access to your business data: limited permissions, protected credentials, controlled access and updates kept current.
